Daniel Hearn's original music has been compared to a car crash between Death Cab for Cutie and Jack Johnson. His lyrics, which range from satirical to serious to downright silly, might appeal to fans of Alec Benjamin, Bo Burnham, Ben Folds and Kacey Musgraves. His first attempt at a music career ended in 2015. Misguided attempts at creative inspiration had led to a mental breakdown, which, combined with a relationship worthy of the tv show COPS, killed the dream of becoming an artist and replaced it with the dream of baseline emotional stability. Following the achievement of this goal half a decade later, the self-produced single "Stow Me Away" was released in 2022. Since then, he has been releasing music with an emotional breadth that shows how a person is capable of both hope and despair.
As a supporting artist, he has played keyboards with Chelsea Shag, Subject To Change, The Ain't Sisters, and the Atlanta Rock n' Roll Allstars.
